Hey guys! Im Mikala, the Co-Founder and Head Coach here at Outlook Health.
Being involved in high level sport as a junior lead to my early exposure in strength training and the gym environment. However, with a lack of guidance and understanding I fell into the trap of completing excessive cardio, completing exercises with no purposes or structure.
Succeeding my basketball career at 17 and entering the AFL football space, I started to take a further interest in improving my performance through body composition goals, strength training and conditioning. Subsequently, this grew into a strong passion into health and fitness leading to undertaking and completing my Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science degree at Deakin University.
Along my three year journey of completing my degree I have juggled being a professional AFLW athlete for Collingwood Football Club, completed an internship at Rise Health and working as a Performance Coach at Project Gap.
My approach to coaching is simple, I want to positively impact as many people as possible, assisting them in achieving their individual health aspirations. Through a client centred collaborative approach my aim is to work with you as a team to find an approach that suits your individual needs and goals.
